Rashida Jones apologizes for John Travolta gay comment

The Muppets star Rashida Jones has apologised for statements she has made about John Travolta’s sexuality.

The 36-year-old, who is the youngest daughter of music producer Quincy Jones, made the comment in an interview to SpinningPlatters.com while publicising her new movie Celeste and Jesse Forever.

Her writing partner and former boyfriend Will McCormack told the website, “There needs to be, like, a professional athlete that comes out.”

Rashida added to his comment, “And a movie star! It’s time…Like John Travolta? Come out! Come on. How many masseurs have to come forward? Let’s do this.”

Rashida later apologised for her comment on Twitter. “Made a thoughtless comment about John Travolta. I sincerely apologize. Nobody’s personal life is my business.”
