Victoria Beckham surprised diners at a British pub by turning up with her kids for a $21-a-head meal – and then complaining that she hadn’t been given enough turkey breast. The mega-rich pop star took her sons Brooklyn and Romeo along with her sister Louise and three minders to the carvery in Surrey, England, much to the amazement of the locals – but drew criticism when she complained. An eyewitness says, “We were saying how nice it was to see Victoria doing something normal and not being all stuck up – then she started complaining. I was behind her in the queue and when darker bits of meat were put on her plate she made it clear she wanted more breast. The lad serving her couldn’t get a new turkey fast enough. I felt sorry for the cook – he looked shaken that she didn’t like what was served.” A spokesperson for the pub claims, “We were delighted to welcome her.” [8 January 2007]
