Peter Andre has revealed that he suffered a mental breakdown when he was in his twenties. The `oysterious Girl’ singer explains, “It stemmed from the racist abuse I suffered when I was at school in Australia. I had a total breakdown and ended up in a psychiatric ward, on every kind of medication. For two or three years I was having about 20 panic attacks a day.” He adds, “It was horrible. I was sitting with people with straight jackets on. I was thinking, ‘What am I doing here?’ But I got through it.” Peter, who is married to glamour model Jordan, also admits he has had a nose job. “I had it done about six years ago, only a small amount though. If you look at old pictures of me, you will never see any side shots, they are always front on.” [22 September 2006]
