PETA targets Desperate Housewife

Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria is on the hit-list for animal activists who want to teach her a lesson for boasting about her hunting past. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is upset that Eva discussed her childhood hunting expeditions on a recent episode of ‘oprah’, saying, “I can skin a deer, a pig, a snake and rabbits.” PETA has suggested she buddy up on a hunting trip with US Vice-President Dick Cheney – who accidentally shot a friend on an expedition last week. The PETA president has petitioned the actress with letters urging her to reconsider wearing fur and cease talking about her hunting past as if it’s a medal of honour. [23 February 2006]
