Spanish actress Penelope Cruz may be a consummate professional who has starred in plenty of major films, but she has confessed it was a challenge to stop laughing during scenes with co-star Johnny Depp in her latest film. The pregnant star, who has been filming ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: on Stranger Tides’, says working opposite Johnny – who plays Captain Jack Sparrow – was a hilarious task. “Johnny is such a funny person, he has created this amazing character,” she explains. “The main problem is that he’s so funny, it was hard to film the dramatic scenes because I could not stop laughing. You never know what will happen next.” It is the second time Penelope has worked with Johnny after filming ‘Blow’ in 2001. “Both times have been amazing. The funny thing is, we were saying to each other, we get along so well but we play characters who always fight.”
