‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star Patrick Dempsey has shown his generous side in a charity fundraising scheme which raised $1.4 million for the hospital that treated his mother’s cancer.
The handsome actor organised and took part in a road race and bike ride to raise funds for the Patrick Dempsey Centre for Cancer Hope, based at the oaine hospital where his mother was successfully treated for ovarian cancer.
“I learned a lot during my mother’s illness,” says Patrick, who is delighted to have contributed to the hospital’s funds in honour of his mum. “I found out how important it is to have access to good, reliable resources to help the patient, family members and caretakers, and I knew I that I wanted to make a difference.”
