Rags-to-riches TV queen oprah Winfrey is known for her generosity – she once gave every member of her studio audience a new car. Recently she noticed that the janitor at her Chicago building hadn’t been on duty and enquired about his whereabouts. on being told his wife was ill in hospital oprah insisted on paying all her medical bills. When the janitor protested that he couldn’t repay her she said firmly that seeing his pleasant smile every day was payment enough!
