Nicolas Cage and his teenage son Weston are teaming up to launch their own comic books. The six-issue series, called ‘Voodoo Child’, is due to be released on 11 July. When comic fan Nic was approached about the idea, his first instinct was to team up with his equally comic-crazed son. “I said I didn’t have any ideas, but I told them my son might. He has been drawing comics since he was three. He was a natural to do it.” The comic is set in New orleans and follows the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, where a detective investigates the disappearance of several young girls. [09 July 2007]
