Naomi Campbell stormed out of a London department store in tears after being refused service – because the assistant didn’t believe her identity. The supermodel handed over her credit card to pay for luggage in the Peter Jones shop and initially thought the assistant was joking when she said, “I don’t think you’re Naomi Campbell.” However when Naomi realised the assistant was serious, a heated exchange ensued, ending with the 36-year-old catwalk queen fleeing the store in a rage. Naomi’s spokesperson says, “There were a lot of people in the store and the situation was humiliating. Naomi was shaking with anger.” Apparently Naomi has declared she will never visit the shop again. [11 July 2006]
