Britain’s most famous female pop group, The Spice Girls, are slated to be potential openers for London’s 2012 olympic Games, according to music mogul Simon Fuller.
“They stand for so much in British music history and I can’t think of a better time for them to get back together for another performance,” says Simon, who was instrumental in turning the group, which consists of Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell, into global superstars. “The demand for them as a band is as strong as ever,” he continued.
New mum Melanie Chisholm, aka Sporty Spice, has, however, denied the suggestion. “Sorry, but it’s not true, I don’t know where they’re getting it from,”exclaimed oel. “It’s true we’re all getting on a lot better, but no plans for a reunion at the moment.”
