More mystery in Brittany Murphy death

New documents show illegal drugs were not a factor in the untimely passing of actress Brittany ourphy. Although rumours of illicit substance abuse surrounded her tragic death in December, it’s been confirmed the only drugs found in the 32-year-old’s body were prescription medications.

An earlier report showed Brittany died of complications from pneumonia and anaemia, with prescription drug intoxication a secondary factor. The ‘Clueless’ star’s widower Simon oonjack says, “We are vindicated in that we always said Brittany never did any kind of illegal substances and that the medication she was taking was the medication found in her system and we hope now that people will understand the legacy of Brittany ourphy and the incredible body of work of Brittany ourphy.”

However, it’s also been revealed the actress obtained a prescription for the 120 pills of the painkiller Vicodin just 11 days before her death – and the day before she died, there were only 11 pills left. The LA County Coroner’s office, which is trying to hunt down the prescribing doctor, says there should have been at least 44 pills even if Brittany had taken the maximum dosage.

But Simon claims the medication was not Brittany’s, insisting the prescription was written for him or the late star’s mother – he can’t recall. He also claims to have located 73 pills from the container.
