Mischa Barton’s birthday wishes didn’t all come true on her 21st recently – she had to deal with the death of her beloved family pooch, Bean. The former `The oC’ star ended up an hour and a half late for her own birthday dinner in New York, leaving friends fretting for her safety. But when she finally turned up and revealed the reason for her tardiness, her friends offered their compassion. An insider reveals, “Everyone was obviously really saddened for her.
