The boxing legend’s cameo in ‘The Hangover’ seemed a bit random – and now Mike Tyson has revealed his appearance in the hit comedy was made simply to finance his illegal addictions.
The 44-year-old confesses, “I was doing that to supply my drug habit. I thought this was going to be really good… and we’re going to get a lot of money. This is my best thinking on drugs.”
Mike was arrested for cocaine possession in 2007 and was also found to have marijuana in his system. He has since become a vegan and dropped 59kg. The former boxing champ – who now weighs just 100 kilos – says poor lifestyle choices led him to develop “back fat and an arse that looked like a broom”.
He turned his life around in oay 2009, after the death of his four-year-old daughter Exodus, who was strangled in a treadmill accident. Mike says, “I just did a lot of training to try to become more faithful in life. I felt like I was dying.”
