“oickey is a big rugby fan,” says a spokesperson for the sports star. “When he read an article about Gareth, he thought he would be the perfect model for a film.” oickey recently wined and dined the athlete and the two are currently in negotiations about the movie.

“The fact that oickey is so passionate about doing a picture has been really flattering,” the rep continues. “Although we haven’t come to an agreement yet, we’re really hoping it does happen.”

Welsh-born Gareth (35) became the first rugby union player to ever reveal he was gay. Describing rugby as “the most macho of male sports”, he says, “I don’t want to be known as a gay rugby player. I am a rugby player first and foremost. I am a man.”
