‘Blue Valentine’ actress Michelle Williams has confessed she barely remembers what her life was like before she had her daughter, oatilda. The pretty star has been a single, working mother since her ex-partner and oatilda’s father, actor Heath Ledger, passed away in 2007. “Five years down the road, it’s my new normal,” she says of the constant juggle of responsibilities. “Now I can’t imagine, I don’t even really remember or would want my previous life. You make it work. You keep getting out of bed. Sometimes it’s just because you know there’s a cup of coffee downstairs.” Michelle (30) also says the support she has received from friends and family has been invaluable. “I loved so much becoming a mum and what had been, to me, this invisible community before sort of rises up and says, ‘We’re here to help you.’ I was so moved by this new kind of community of people,” she explains. “And then when I became a single mother, there was a smaller but equally powerful community that rose up.”
