Michael Jackson has given the thumbs-up to plans for a 50-foot robotic replica of himself to be built in the deserts of Las Vegas, should he launch a show there. A spokesperson explains, “Laser beams would shoot out of it so it would be the first thing people flying would see. Neon is wonderful, but it’s old school.” He adds, “Michael’s looked at the sketches and likes them.” Michael, who reportedly has bought a house in the casino capital, has met with tourism officials and hotel owners there about a long-term show in a 4100-seat arena.
