Famed TV interviewer Michael Parkinson says he can’t wait to retire.
The 72-year-old, who filmed the final episode of his eponymous talk show last week, plans to visit Australia and write an autobiography.
Mike says, “I’m a very happy bunny. I cannot wait to jack it all in. It’s not with any sense of despair or longing that I look at my future.”
His final show features David Beckham, Sir Michael Caine, Billy Connolly, Sir David Attenborough, Dame Edna Everage and Dami Judi Dench.
