Mel Gibson stopped his two Academy Awards from going up in flames by begging firefighters to save them when a wildfire threatened his California home. The Aussie star instructed the firemen, “Don’t let the boys burn.” Mel laughs, “They thought I meant my kids!” He won his oscars for the film ‘Braveheart’.
