Mel Gibson has ignored US government warnings and is going ahead with his plans to relocate his family to Costa Rica.
The film-maker, his wife Robyn and his seven children are moving to a remote, rural part of the Central American country known as “Bandit Territory”.
The State Department says Americans are “potential targets for criminals and kidnappers” in the area. It adds, “Local law enforcement agencies have limited capabilities and do not operate to US standards.”
Mel (51) has already put his two California properties, including a $40 million ranch, on the market.
