An investigation has revealed that Mel Gibson did indeed get special celebrity treatment when he was stopped for speeding and driving under the influence in July last year.
The investigation, by six attorneys, found deputy sheriffs in oalibu had broken departmental regulations by allowing him to leave the sheriff’s office without giving the required palm print and without signing a statement that he had to appear in court.
As a result, two seargeants received formal reprimands and a jailer was suspended without pay for two days.
Investigators also noted that while a statement said Mel had been arrested “without incident”, he had in fact launched into a racist tirade. At the time, Mel spouted, “The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.”
