Megan Fox:

Going against reports that she was dumped from the ‘Transformers’ franchise, Megan Fox insists that she quit.

The 24-year-old actress, who played Shia LaBeouf’s love interest in ‘Transformers’ and ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ had originally signed on to appear in the third installment of the giant action series, but now claims to have pulled out.

A rep for the actress says, “Megan Fox will not be starring in ‘Transformers 3’. It was her decision not to return. She wishes the franchise the best.”

other reports had stated that director Michael Bay was looking to cast another actress in the third film in order to move the story in a different direction, especially after a series of disparaging remarks Megan made about Michael and his films earlier this year.

‘Transformers 3’* *will go into production next month and is due for release in early 2011. A replacement for Megan has not yet been announced.
