The next instalment in the ‘Bourne’ series, ‘The Bourne Legacy’, won’t star leading man Matt Damon. Director Tony Gilroy says there will be a “new hero” in the fourth film, despite the success of the first three, all of which have starred Matt in the title role as trained assassin Jason Bourne. “This is not a reboot or a recast or a prequel,” explains Tony. “No one’s replacing Matt Damon.” Matt is yet to comment on his character’s axing, but rumour has it he may have bigger fish to fry. The actor is considering directing a movie script penned by best friend Ben Affleck and his brother Casey, but is yet to sign his name on the dotted line.
