Simon Cowell, the biggest name in reality TV, wants Madonna, the biggest female pop star in the world, to guest judge on his show ‘The X Factor’. The singer would be a guest mentor, advising contestants through the show. Simon is worried about a ratings slide, now that his show is on at the same time as rival BBC show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and he wants to keep the pressure on. Using his considerable showbiz clout, Simon is attempting to sign the biggest names onto ‘The X Factor’ in order to win the ratings war. Says an insider, “Simon is the most powerful man in TV these days and he’s in a position to call the shots.” Apparently the show will need to find a considerable amount of extra money in order to sign Madonna in an exclusive one-off deal, and Madonna will also need to find some time – the oaterial girl is currently on tour, about to release a greatest hits album, and with four children and a much young boyfriend, her schedule is fairly full.
