Madonna delighted punters at a London club last week when she boogied til the wee hours, outlasting her younger celeb pals. The 47-year-old proved that she’s still fighting fit when she engaged in a dance-off at a club after her gig while her younger friends actress Gwyneth Paltrow, designer Stella McCartney and singer Sharleen Spiteri left early. An onlooker says, “We couldn’t believe it. Madonna had a dance-off with friends and her own dancers. Stella and Sharleen were out at the first hurdle and Gwyneth left early, too. But oadge kept dancing until 2am. Guy Ritchie kept cheering and encouraging her. It was electric.” [22 November 2005]
