Ever-controversial Madonna intends to use a giant disco-style crucifix as one of the centrepieces for her upcoming `Confessions on A Dance Floor’ tour. A source claims that Madonna, who has shocked in the past with her use of religious images, will descend to the stage on the glittering disco-ball crucifix. The $15 million ball, which will be covered with diamonds and Swarovski crystals, is being constructed at a well-guarded airplane hangar in Los Angeles. According to the source, “It’ll create a blinding light, like she’s landing on the spaceship from E.T.” [19 April 2006]
