Madonna is said to be escaping the UK after being dogged by rumours of her marriage breakdown. The pop diva, who is apparently upset about claims her “close friendship” with music producer Stuart Price is driving her and husband Guy Ritchie apart, may take her family back to the US for five months. A source reveals, “She feels like she is living in a goldfish bowl in Britain. She thinks an extended break will do them all the world of good and take the heat off for a while.” The insider adds, “Madonna needs to start planning her upcoming world tour and it makes sense for her to sort it out over there. Stuart will be working on the material with her. Whether or not he will fly out with them is unclear.” The source also insisted Madonna and Guy’s five-year marriage is as strong as ever, saying, “They argue like mad but it doesn’t mean anything.” [15 February 2006]
