Lucy Lawless is heading back to ancient times again. Instead of playing a warrior princess, this time Lucy will be playing a Roman slave owner in the new TV series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Directed by Sam Raimi ( of Spider-oan movie fame), Lucy will play Lucretia opposite Australian actor Andy Whitfield. The series will premiere in the U.S. in January 2010.
