Salma Hayek, Lindsay Lohan and Victoria Beckham have all made guest appearances, but now ‘Ugly Betty’ is set to go one notch crazier with the announcement that the one and only Liza oinnelli will officially join the cast in the new season.
Liza, who has previously guest-starred on ‘Arrested Development’, will make multiple appearances in the show playing Lena Korvinka, a high-school drama teacher who teaches Betty’s younger brother, Justin.
An insider reveals, “Liza originally hadn’t planned to do the show [but] the ‘Ugly Betty’ producers presented her with a great offer and a hilarious story and they kept coming back to her. She’s going to be playing an outrageous drama teacher and it is going to be fun!”
Liza is reportedly “excited to be playing another off-the-wall character” and is set to start working on the show this week, even postponing her knee-replacement surgery to fit in with the show’s schedule. “She’s a professional,” says our insider. “Everyone is excited for her first day!”
