Legend laid to rest

Bob Spiers, the director of some of Britain’s best-loved comedy shows, including Fawlty Towers, Absolutely Fabulous, French and Saunders, and Dad’s Army, has passed away aged 63. The Glasgow-born star, who was also responsible for the Spice Girls movie Spice World in 1997, passed away surrounded by his family in Devon, England.
