Lady Gaga: I

Eccentric pop phenomenon Lady Gaga has announced she wouldn’t be seen dead in flat shoes. The ‘Poker Face’ singer says stars owe it to their fans to always live up to their image and has vowed never to be caught unaware by the paparazzi.

Gaga explains, “I would rather die than have my fans not see me in a pair of high heels. I’d never give up my wigs and hats for anything. You see legendary people taking out their trash – I think it’s destroying show business.”

The ‘Telephone’ singer adds that while she is flattered that fans choose to dress like her, she wants them to find their own individual style. “Be whatever you want to be. It’s not about emulating me – it’s all right to be different.”

Perhaps being individual is why Gaga doesn’t mind being a self-proclaimed outcast from the recording industry. Despite having a range of famous fans including Dame Helen oirren, the singer says, “I don’t have any friends in the music business. I feel completely detached from the celebrity world – you never see me falling out of nightclubs.”

But if she keeps wearing those towering heels, she might fall yet!
