Eccentric pop sensation Lady Gaga has arrived in New Zealand ahead of her two Auckland concerts – and she seems pumped to be here. only moments after landing at Auckland International Airport, the ‘Poker Face’ singer posted a message on her Twitter website to say that she can’t wait to “perform the show of a lifetime”.
Gaga – whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta – also tweeted, “Just arrived in New Zealand, greeted at 7am by all my beautiful fans, glitter faces and police.” In a subsequent text, she revealed she was listening to radio station The Edge and requested they play her new track ‘Telephone’. Cheekily, she added, “Catch me if you can, Kiwis.”
Gaga’s Saturday show at Vector Arena sold out quickly and her Sunday performance is on the verge of doing the same. Last time the Brit Award-winning star was here in 2009, she was simply a support act for the Pussycat Dolls.
