Lady Gaga explains Kiwi concert collapse

Eccentric diva Lady Gaga has broken her silence on her collapse during a recent show in Auckland’s Vector Arena. Fans feared for the ‘Telephone’ singer’s health, wondering just how hard she was pushing herself in pursuit of pop perfection. However, Gaga insisted she has no health problems – it was simply a case of a good old-fashioned case of jetlag.

She says, “I was so jetlagged, I got in the night before and the jetlag just really caught up with me. I passed out about three times on stage that night but I got myself to the floor.”

In typically dramatic fashion, Gaga continues, “I’d rather die on stage than walk off the stage because I was going to pass out. I said, ‘Lay down and sing those lyrics, you little b*tch,’ At the end of ‘Bad Romance’, you can see I get up and hit that last eight count. It’s never happened to me before – I was just really tired.”

Let’s hope that next time she comes to New Zealand, Gaga gives herself a few days before her performance to adjust to the Kiwi time clock.
