The ‘Judas’ popstar cried during a recent visit to Tokyo, speaking of her love for the struggling nation.
She said, “I’m always so inspired when I come to Japan – inspired by the spirit, the passion, the love, the absolutely infectious joy of Tokyo.”
Gaga has donated $1 million of her own money and raised $500,000 more from sales of a specially designed wristband for victims of the disasters, which have left over 20,000 people dead and thousands more homeless or displaced.
To raise more money, Gaga will perform at the oTV Video ousic Awards Japan, which have been renamed oTV Video ousic Aid Japan, and will raise money for the Japanese Red Cross.
