After being slammed for being insensitive about the recent Israeli-Palestinian conflict on Twitter, Kim Kardashian has embarked on a whirlwind visit of the Middle East. Kim touched down in Kuwait early this morning at the start of a three-day visit to launch her Kardashian Kollection clothing line as well as two Millions of Milkshakes milkshake shops. She tweeted a photo of herself getting tuition from the US ambassador of Kuwait, Matthew Tueller. Earlier this month Kim caused a storm on Twitter when she wrote, “Praying for everyone in Israel,” which was met with an instant backlash. She followed it up with a second tweet, “Praying for everyone in Palestine and across the world,” which was met with more ire.

She later posted a lengthy apology on her official blog in which she said: “I want to own up to and explain that earlier today I sent out two tweets about saying prayers for the people in Palestine and Israel and after hearing from my followers, I decided to take down the tweets because I realised that some people were offended and hurt by what I said, and for that I apologise.”
A source told gossip website TMZ.com that Kim is hoping to use her publicity trip to learn about “the customs, cultures and conflicts in the Middle East”.
