Kevin Federline has released his debut album – leaving off tracks that include vocals of wife Britney Spears. Kevin, who rapped on his January download-only single `Popozao’, is determined to be recognised as a singer in his own right. He explains, “Britney and I have collaborated. But I’m not gonna put the songs on this album because it’s, like, ‘Respect me first, then I’ll show you what I’ve done with my wife’.” In relation to the recent incident of Britney driving off with her baby unrestrained, Kevin also commented on the paparazzi pressure he and his singer wife have faced since baby Sean was born: “The day we came home from the hospital we had 40 cars behind us, and there were another 50 lining the side of the Pacific Coast Highway, all trying to get a shot inside the front window. It felt like they put a ransom on my child. okay, they didn’t take my child, but they did put a price tag on his head.” [21 February 2006]
