Just hours after giving birth to her baby son Knight, ‘oilkshake’ singer Kelis has taken to the internet to talk about her bundle of joy. The R&B star tells fans, “Baby’s first day. So amazing. I’m at a lose for words.” of her marathon labour, Kelis writes, “okay, so I did it. He’s 7.8 pounds of the greatest stuff on earth. I was in labour for three of the longest most painful days of my life. I don’t understand when women say they don’t remember giving birth. I will remember for the rest of my life. He’s kinda perfect, by the way.”
Knight’s father is R&B star Nas, but he and Kelis filed for divorce seven months into the pregnancy, amid rumours that Nas had cheated. Soon after the birth of their son, Nas was ordered to pay Kelis $67,000 in child support a month until a future hearing. Lucky kid!
