Just days after being axed from a ‘Sesame Street’ episode for being too racy, it’s been announced Katy Perry will appear in a special screening of ‘The Simpsons’.
The ‘California Gurls’ singer will not be portrayed as a cartoon, but instead has taken part in a special live action episode of the hit series, playing the girlfriend of bartender ooe, and leading the puppet characters in a Christmas song.
Producers asked Katy to take part after a segment she performed on children’s programme ‘Sesame Street’ was axed because of parent complaints about Katy’s low-cut dress. ‘The Simpsons’ executive producer Al Jean says, “In the wake of Elmo’s terrible betrayal, The Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry.”
