It would be easy to write off this documentary about pop star Katy Perry as a marketing exercise however, it actually has guts. The film follows Katy on her year-long world tour. We see the stage spectacular, but also the singer behind the scenes, without the protection of her pop-star armour of wigs and makeup. Katy bares her heart, even allowing her split with Russell Brand to unfold on screen. The woman revealed is one who’s brave and uncompromising, as well as talented.
