It seems that the strain of trying to tame one of the world’s most notorious love rats is getting to Katy Perry. After getting together with comedian Russell Brand and becoming engaged before we could even blink an eye, the ‘Waking Up in Vegas’ singer has taken to the nasty habit of smoking cigarettes in order to deal with the stress of her upcoming nuptials.
In fact, Katy – who is set to provide the voice for Smurfette in an upcoming Smurfs movie – is smoking so much, she’s thinking of taking even more drastic action. She’s told pals, “I’m stressed out with the wedding and I keep smoking to calm my nerves. I do it even though I know it is really bad for me and I know I need to stop. So I’m thinking I am going to have hypnotherapy to help me get over it. I’d never say to kids, ‘This is cool.’ It’s a really bad habit that I need to quit.”
