Kate Moss will find out within two weeks if she is to be charged for drug-taking following her infamous cocaine-snorting scandal. The 32-year-old – who handed herself over to police upon returning to Britain last month – is waiting to hear the verdict from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Several others who were with Kate in the published images may face prosecution also. A CPS source says, “We have received a report from the police and a request for a decision on Kate Moss. There are just a few odds and ends to sort out.” The catwalk queen, who lost several lucrative modelling contracts and checked into rehab after the incident, wants to “put this whole episode behind her”, according to a friend. Meanwhile one newspaper in the UK is reporting that Kate has had several secret meetings with her ex, Pete Doherty. But a spokesman insists they haven’t, saying: “Their relationship is over, there is no need for them to see each other.” [20 February 2006]
