German designer Karl Lagerfeld is flying in the face of fashion with his love of skinny models. Despite new rules and trends dictating healthier models on the runway, the iconic style guru has announced, “Curvy women have no place on the catwalk.”
He continues, “‘You’ve got fat mothers with their bags of chips sitting in front of the television and saying that thin models are ugly.” His outrageous statements come after one of Germany’s top magazines, ‘Brigitte’, said it would no longer use skinny models. Karl hit back, spouting, “The world of fashion is about dreams and illusions. What ‘Brigitte’ is doing is absurd.”
