Johnny Depp is planning to wed his long-term girlfriend Vanessa Paradis in a unique gypsy-style ceremony. After eight years together, the couple will have a low-key ceremony followed by a three-day party feast, inspired by Johnny’s love of gypsy culture. A friend reveals, “We’ve been expecting marriage for a long time. Gypsies really know how to enjoy a marriage – this one will be the biggest and the best France has ever seen.” The pal adds, “The gypsy ceremony is largely symbolic without formal rituals. The men dress in tuxedos and the women in flowing skirts and low-cut blouses. Johnny and Vanessa are free spirits but they are very romantic.” The `Pirates of the Caribbean’ star (43) and Vanessa (33) have two children together – seven-year-old Lily Rose and Jack, four. Previously Johnny has joked that he wouldn’t marry Vanessa, saying, “It would be a shame to ruin her last name. It’s so perfect.” [28 September 2006]
