He may be the star of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise, but Johnny Depp may have taken his star power a little too far when it came to designing his trailer on the set of the latest movie. Apparently not happy with the portable trailer originally provided, Johnny (47) reportedly asked producers to provide more than $2 million to create an extravagant themed dressing room. “Johnny got his own personal interior designer who was given carte blanche to go wild on expensive antiques and hand-woven rugs,” says a source on set. “Johnny wanted the perfect chill-out area full of ooroccan lamps, cushions, mirrors and mosaic tiles. The crew were shocked he was given such a big budget for his trailer, but he is the star and what Johnny wants, Johnny gets.” However, Johnny looked after the crew too, splashing out on 500 waterproof hiking jackets at a cost of more than $80,000 after becoming concerned those working on the film were getting too cold.
