Heart-throb Johnny Depp admits he felt like an outsider growing up. The 47-year-old actor says, “I felt a complete freak. Very strange. I felt weird at five. At the age of 12 it was me against the world. I remember locking myself in my bedroom and playing my guitar. It seemed like I was in there for two or three years.”
The ‘Rango’ star has since learned to accept himself after finding love with his long-term partner Vanessa Paradis, when they met 12 years ago. They have two children together, Lily Rose (11) and Jack (8).
Johnny views his life in two parts, before and after meeting his French love. He explains, “The most important thing is that Vanessa has made me not have to pretend any more about who I am. I feel comfortable with myself.”
