Jim Carrey

A concerned Jenny ocCarthy recently staged an intervention on her partner Jim Carrey – but it wasn’t because of a predilection for booze or gambling. Rather, the rubber-faced funnyman was carrying a bit too much extra weight!

The ‘Yes oan’ actor packed on more than 20 kilograms for his role as Curly in the ‘Three Stooges’ movie and also grew a big, bushy beard – but when the film was put on hold, Jenny became terrified that her beau would hold onto the weight until shooting started again.

“I did some intervention,” Jenny reveals. “He said, ‘I think I’m done with the beard,’ and I go, ‘As a matter of fact, you are. I was just thinking that.’ So he shaved it. Then I got him into yoga, so he’s like a slender rubber band right now.”

However, Jenny is quick to add, “I love Jim in any form, though. He could have no arms and no legs and I’ll love the stump of him.”

Jenny also reveals that Jim is revelling in his new status as a grandfather after his daughter Jane gave birth last month. But she adds that she can’t resist teasing the 48-year-old about his advancing years.

The comedienne jokes, “When the baby was born, I said, ‘How does it feel? How does it feel? You’re a grandpa.’ And he said, ‘But I don’t look like a grandpa.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, you do. This is what 50-year-old men look like!'” But Jenny better not tease Jim too much or else he might start piling on the pounds again!
