Pop star Jessie J is kept “sane” by friend and singer Ellie Goulding.
Jessie sees the Starry Eyed singer as one of the few people who she can really relate to.
“I’m really close with Ellie Goulding. She keeps me sane as she’s one of the people who can understand what my life is like,” Jessie says.
Jessie – who was bullied at school after being diagnosed with a heart defect at the age of 11 – doesn’t have many male friends, but recently got to know Jason Derulo and enjoys “taking the p**s” out of the Whatcha Say singer.
“I’ve recently become friends with Jason DerüloHe is so cool – I take the p**s out of him a lot! And Fearne Cotton, and I got on really well with Dermot o’Leary when I did The X Factor,” she says.
The Who’s Laughing Now singer says she has around 10 really good girl friends, but some don’t get in touch with her because they think she will be too busy with her showbiz lifestyle.
“I’ve had friends who’ve dipped in and out of my life, who’ve said, ‘I just didn’t want to bother you.’ And I’m like, ‘You’re one of my best friends. You calling me is not bugging me.'” Jessie says.
“There have been times when people don’t call me because they presume I’m busy. Don’t presume!”
