Perhaps Janet Jackson has been taking diva lessons from Mariah Carey? The singer surprised crew at a UK radio station recently when she insisted that her chilled spring water came from Fiji. She had fridges at the London station stocked with her preferred brand of water an hour before she was due to arrive for an interview. The paper quotes a source, who says: “It was simply unbelievable the lengths she went to for a cold glass of water. She insisted the water was her very own, from a Fijian spring and cooled to a precise temperature before she would drink it. How anybody can tell the difference between a standard bottle of mineral water and some from a Fijian spring beggars belief.” The source adds, “It was hilarious watching her staff make such a fuss.” [9 August 2006]
