She may be in her early seventies but Jane Fonda is ready to make the world sweat again. The eternally fit actress has signed on to host the first-ever World Fitness Day in the US.
The exercise fanatic – who first inspired the world to “feel the burn” in the 1970s with her home workout videos – decided to host the event to promote how fitness can be fun. Jane says, “It can be a determining factor in the quality of your life and it’s never too late to start.”
She adds that the event is “a nationwide call for fun and fitness” for people of all ages. “I am 72 years old. I’ve had hip replacement and a recent knee replacement, but I’m interested in bringing boomers and seniors like me into the exercise world because I know it will enhance their lives.”
