Jamie Oliver creates

Celebrity chef Jamie oliver’s latest project is all about being a carnivore as he opens a new restaurant that aims to “unleash the inner cavemen” of diners. The Naked Chef star’s new London venture, called Barbecoa, has a wood-fired oven the size of a minibus, a Japanese-style Robata grill, an Argentinian burn pit, a Texas smoker and two Indian tandoors to cook the meaty dishes. “our bloodline for the past 3000 years is that we cooked meat over wood and charcoal,” says Jamie in explanation of the barbecue-themed venue. “Then 70 years ago your grandmother got told to stop doing that because she really wanted to cook in stainless steel boxes run by gas and electricity. our primeval side misses all that smoke and charcoal.”
