Jamie Foxx

Actors have long been known for going to extremes for their roles, but Jamie Foxx took it one step further for his role in ‘The Soloist’ by getting his dentist to chip his teeth.

Jamie said his teeth were too perfect to convincingly play the role of homeless cello prodigy Nathaniel Ayers. Says Jamie of his teeth: ”They look like a piano. If I am dressed as a homeless person and then you see these teeth, it would be ridiculous. I had them chiselled down and they looked a little crooked. It worked and it gave more authenticity to being homeless.”

Jamie also shaved his eyebrows for the role and it is rumoured that both he and co-star Robert Downey Jr, who plays LA Times journalist Steve Lopez, will receive oscar nominations for their performances.
